Very poor communication
Was due to have my wisdom teeth removed. After all the x-rays had been completed, I was booked in at the Arthur Blackman clinic for the extraction. After booking two days off work, under the impression I was going to have 4 wisdom teeth pulled out, upon arrival, I was informed that the surgery was too complicated and that I would need to be referred to the hospital to have the surgery done under general anesthetic. (standard 18 week wait) I am not leaving a bad review because of poor dental practice, I am sure he is a very good dentist and I am pleased he didn't try to preform a surgery which was too complicated for him (Hence two stars), rather the fact that two days of mine were wasted, costing me two days wages, when a phone call of less than 5 minutes would have sufficed. They had my number and could quite easily of discussed it over the phone, instead they called me to confirm my attendance to the clinic and confirm that the surgery was all good to go ahead the DAY BEFORE I was booked in, only for them to cancel and be informed on the day it wasn't.... I was probably only in the room for less than 10 minutes. Although I am sure that they will charge the NHS some sort of consultation fee...
