Professional and prompt service

Oncology
July 1, 2017
I found all the staff very helpful and polite, a good sized waiting area and was seen quite quickly even though I was early for my appointment. Easy to park too, so all in all it made the whole experience quite stress-free, which was an unexpected surprise!

I did not like the long wait in the waiting room of the A&E. Once seen the staff were very professional and worked well as a team.

Son's first blood test

Pathology
June 1, 2017
My son had his first blood test today and the staff were fantastic!

They spoke to him in a grown up way, explained everything about what they were going to, and kept him preoccupied with other things.

He even got a couple of sweets after!

Excellent service and thank you for putting him at ease! He's excited for his next one.

Day surgery at the Richard Ticehurst unit

Outpatients
May 22, 2017
My husband had throat surgery in the Richard Ticehurst unit and all the staff were fantastic.

We had a long wait along with others and the staff kept us up to date on what was going on and couldn't do enough for us.

Everyone made our short stay very comfortable and as such go quickly.

Based on several visits.

Cardiology

My high score is for the treatment my husband received last April when he had a heart attack and for a few appointments I have had. I haven't had to wait a long time before receiving an appointment and, when I am there, I feel I am treated well.

nurses on the Kipling ward are amazing

Paediatrics/children services

We were in the Kipling ward with a young child with breathing difficulties. The nurses were kind, caring and helpful. The doctors were more elusive and spoke to each other and not to Mum. Grandchildren is knowledgeable and understood.

Very Poor

Ophthalmology
February 11, 2017
I had an appointment at 9 am at the Ophthalmology Outpatient, they had overbooked, I had nowhere to sit until someone went for their appointment. I did not get out of the hospital until lunch time. My car park fees just went up and up. No time to get a drink ,otherwise I lose my place in the queue . I am a diabetic .

Broken wrist - attended the Conquest fracture clinic. Really impressed by the number of staff who introduced themselves with job title, including radiology.

Routine mammagram went very smoothly

December 20, 2016
From the letter with the very useful directions, then the nurses all treated me with respect and were pleasant to deal with, clear instructions were given while being x-rayed, then told me about the letter with the results being sent to me, it was top marks!!
