I saw Dr Seager at the Ophthalmic clinic on 3/11/2017. He was friendly, professional and very helpful - excellent! I always have this type of service at the DGH ophthalmology department.

Terrible rude staff

I went in after having a missed miscarriage and was told very rudely to come back Monday as they weren't open in the afternoon. I went back Monday and was told the early pregnancy clinic wasn't open as a nurse had phoned in sick.

Staff were rude and uncaring.

So we went to conquest instead where we were treated much better.

I have dealt with EGH routinely for my mum, who had a stroke and for subsequent appointments. Absolutely brilliant staff, always went the extra mile. Fantastic!

Full knee replacement

The staff were all so helpful from the admission staff and the team put me at ease and listens to my worries. The ward staff on orthopedic ward were absolutely fantastic and kept my pain to a minimum the physio team were gentle but firm in getting me mobile and doing the exercises especially. My after care physio who came to visit at my home. Thank goodness for the NHS and all it's professional and kind and understanding staff.

Whether I am visiting for a blood test of for rheumatology the staff are always helpful and it makes the experience more pleasant.

I visited the hospital twice for wye checks. On both occasions the staff were great: professional, efficient and informative. On the second visit the doctor was clear in his explanations..

My son recently attended the unit for a diagnostic investigation. The whole experience was done well from start to finish. All staff were pleasant, approachable and efficient. Procedure timings were punctual. We were shown exactly where to go, what to do and what to expect. It seemed to us that there was a good atmosphere in the unit, teamwork and pride in service delivery. Thanks to everyone.

Jubilee eye suite deserve special recognition

My husband had a cataract operation at the Eastbourne DGH last year. I was so impressed with the friendly and professional attitude that was demonstrated. He had his second eye operated on and again, amazing team. The anesthetist and the nursing staff and all the team helped to make this a 5 star experience. As I also work for the trust I wanted to express that kindness, compassion and professionalism is what patients value. Keep up the good work under the new chief exec.
