Authorised Representative
Authorised Representatives are specially trained volunteers who carry out visits to NHS and social care services to see how they are delivered and gather feedback from people using those services.

Community Information Volunteer
Someone who can go out into local area and spread the word about Healthwatch and what we offer. This is an important role as you will both help promote Healthwatch East Sussex and gather local people’s views.

Mystery Shopper
Sometimes we need help to find out what it’s really like for someone like you, to get the health and/or care information you need. Mystery shopper volunteers act as a real patient or client would. This would involve using the phone, internet or email, and in some cases, visiting agreed locations across East Sussex.

Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE)
A PLACE volunteer is someone who visits local hospitals every year, to provide a patient’s view of the service. You will work as part of a team, and look at things like food, cleanliness and general building maintenance.

Healthwatch Volunteer Representative
To champion Healthwatch East Sussex and its views at a range of forums, groups and other meetings. To attend on behalf of Healthwatch East Sussex at public events.
