Social prescribing: share your views

March 3, 2025

NHS Sussex would like to hear from people who have been supported by a Social Prescribing Link worker, or a similar role.

Share your experiences to help improve the service by completing a short survey before 9 March, or volunteering to attend a workshop during March.

Social prescribing helps people connect with local activities, groups, and services to support practical needs, like housing, employment, and education. It also supports mental health by tackling loneliness, stress and discrimination. It can encourage people to take more exercise and eat more healthily.

Local charities, social care and health services, including GPs, can refer people to a Social Prescribing Link Worker. There are other similar ‘social connector’ roles too. They may be known as a Health and Wellbeing Advisor, Community Connector, Navigator or a Coach.
