Cancer Services in Sussex during COVID-19 – What this means for you.
June 11, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
FreeA free event for anyone with concerns about cancer services during Covid-19 to hear presentations and ask questions of cancer experts.
In these challenging times, this is a free event for anyone with concerns about cancer services during Covid-19, including cancer patients and those that care for friends and family with cancer. This event provides you with access to advice from experts. The session will try to answer your questions about how to access cancer services during COVID-19 and how to get the support you need during this time. You will hear presentations from:
Dr Richard Simcock, consultant clinical oncologist at the Sussex Cancer Centre;
Scarlett Jinman-Dunt, an oncology Macmillan nurse;
Dr Mathew Thomas, Cancer GP lead for East Sussex.
We invite you to submit questions in advance which our experts will aim to respond to during their presentations. You will also have the chance to ask questions electronically during the event and our facilitator will field as many of these as possible, to our presenters.
This event will be recorded and a summary write-up produced. Both will be made available to all participants and via the Sussex local Healthwatch websites. Any questions submitted in advance or during this session, will be shared with the presenters and we will aim to include their responses in our write-up.
