Rye Listening Tour – One Year On

Throughout September 2023 we conducted a Listening Tour across Rye and Rural Rother to meet people where they are and capture their experiences of local health and care. We are delighted to share our Rye Listening Tour, One Year On Report.

This report provides an update on the activity that has taken place in the year since the tour and how we have used what you told us to encourage improvement in local health and care services.

The report provides an overview of what we have done since the tour including case studies on our work looking at local transport, our project on Oral Health in Care Homes and activity with Rural Rother PCN.

Within the report you can read about our future plans, including how we are refreshing our Listening Tour approach to reach more of the county more regularly.

Riona Doidge, Head of Volunteering and Engagement at East Sussex Community Voice delivering Healthwatch East Sussex said:

Our Listening Tours are a great opportunity to go out into our community and hear about our communities’ experiences of local health and care.

They represent the start of a process which enables us to build relationships, gather insight and understand the experiences of local people. This is reflected in our ‘One Year on Report’, which highlights the work that has been done as result of the Rye Listening Tour and what you told us but also how our work is ongoing.”
