Giving feedback takes a minute, but the impact could last a lifetime.
Healthwatch East Sussex is your independent watchdog for local health and care services. Since 2015 our Feedback Centre has offered the public, patients, and carers the opportunity to rate and leave comments about the health and care services they use.
We upgraded this service in late 2020 and last year received nearly 300 reviews, which is more than ever before. People told us their experiences of doctors, dentists, hospitals, social care and other services, be they good, indifferent or requiring improvement.
“Always able to facilitate advice from GP if needed. Fantastic support for my family during lockdown.” [GP Practice review]
Leaving a review doesn’t only tell us about your experience, it enables other people to see how services are performing and allows those commissioning and providing services to hear how they are doing straight from you. We do validate reviews to ensure that they are fair and appropriate.
“No information at this very difficult time – what is happening with my appointment?!” [Hospital review]
Providing a review is simple, it only takes a few minutes. You can review through mobile phones, PCs, tablets, on our website, Facebook or through our information line. We can provide freepost hard copy review forms on request. If you require help or support, such as with making a complaint, then we can also assist you through our advocacy service.
“I find this optometrist practice extremely efficient welcoming and professional. Always find a visit there reassuring.” [Optometrist review]
We collate the reviews we receive and use these to understand how services in East Sussex are performing, offering our insight to decisions-makers about what is working well and what needs to be improved.
If you are a provider, then the system can send you the reviews we receive automatically and offer the opportunity to respond to those leaving feedback. If this is of interest, then please contact us.
