Help the NHS help you over the June Bank Holiday Weekend
Over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, the NHS is asking the public to Help us Help you if you need help and support, and to use the right services for your needs at the right time.
Pharmacies and NHS 111 are a good place to start for anyone seeking expert help and advice. They can also signpost you to other services.
Some community pharmacies will be offering reduced opening hours over the Bank Holiday weekend, so do plan ahead and make sure you have any medication or prescriptions you require.
It is a good idea to contact the pharmacy before attending to make sure they have what you need. To Find an open pharmacy near you, please visit the pharmacy information page here.
If you have a health concern while your GP surgery is closed over the Bank Holiday, you can contact NHS 111 for free 24 hours a day by dialling 111 or going online to www.111.nhs.uk. They can advise, support, and direct you to the most appropriate service for your needs.
Please only go to A&E or Emergency Departments if it is an emergency such as severe bleeding, breathing difficulties, chest pains etc.
For an immediate, life threatening medical emergency call 999.
If you need mental health support over the Bank Holiday, the Sussex Mental Healthline offers crisis care for people in urgent need of help with their mental health. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on 0800 0309 500.
