Healthwatch East Sussex attends the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Patient Experience Event

Earlier this month, Healthwatch East Sussex participated in an East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) event on patient engagement. We raised awareness of Healthwatch East Sussex and highlighted our role in ensuring patients’ voices are heard and used to enhance local healthcare services.

The event saw ESHT staff share examples of how they engage patients, both virtually and face-to-face, and use patient feedback to help them evolve and develop their services. Attendees also shared ideas on how engagement and the collecting of experiences could be further embedded and support provided to staff to take this forward.

It was positive to meet so many staff and practitioners and learn about the work being done to better understand patient needs and support the evolution of healthcare services in East Sussex.
