System upgrade team wins monthly staff award

The team behind the upgrade of one of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s information systems is the latest winner of the monthly staff award.

The Oasis PAS (Patient Administration System) is used to store patient information and was successfully upgraded during the last weekend of September.

The team was nominated by Associate Director of Knowledge Management, Sarah Goldsack, who said: “The upgrade was extremely successful with minimal impact on users. This was due to the planning, hard work and dedication of the team and all the staff involved, many working late nights and over weekends to ensure the Trust was not adversely affected by the upgrade.

“Everyone involved from trainers, users, PAS support, referral to treatment support, technical development and the project team should be congratulated on this extremely successful project.”

Non-Executive Director Barry Nealon met some of the team last month to present staff with their award.
