Our host organisation East Sussex Community Voice is recruiting a Trainee Communication and Marketing Officer.

  • Working pattern: 35 hours per week with a flexible approach to days/hours required
  • Salary: £22,366- £23,893 dependent on experience plus 6% employers pension contribution
  • Annual Leave:  26 days per year plus Bank Holidays
  • Contract duration: Initial 12 months contract with potential to become permanent depending on funding.
  • Location: Hybrid working at the East Sussex Community Voice office in Eastbourne and remote working/working from home, with travel to other locations as required.

Are you passionate about communication and marketing and delivering strong and accessible messages that inform and support change on a range of issues such as health, care, young people and housing?

ESCV are recruiting a Trainee Communication and Marketing Officer who will receive full on the job training to allow them to develop the skills and experience necessary to develop and deliver communication and marketing plans and strategies.

As a trainee role, no previous experience with the development and delivery of communication and marketing is necessary (though you may have some!) but the opportunity to start and develop a career in communications will appeal to you.

You will work across our range of programmes. This may be delivering digital and social media, media relations, marketing, branding and events. The work is varied, rewarding and challenging.

Though we’re very open about who this role will suit, we’re more interested in your aptitude for the role than your previous experience.

If you have a passion for working with a great team who make a real difference for people across East Sussex, we would be delighted to receive your application.

“East Sussex Community Voice is an Equal Opportunities and Diversity employer and welcomes candidates from all sections of the community.”
