What can you get involved in as a Healthwatch volunteer?
Healthwatch East Sussex volunteers take part in range of activities, including:
- Engagement Liaison Representative Volunteer:
As an Engagement Liaison Representative, you’ll attend events and meetings, share who we are, gather community feedback, and help raise local issues. This role lets you connect with people across East Sussex, build community engagement skills, and help solve local challenges. - Mystery Shopper Volunteer:
In this role, you’ll test how services support patients—whether online, over the phone, or in person. By reporting your findings, you help uncover gaps in local services and drive real improvements. - Authorised Representatives Volunteer:
As an Authorised Representative, you’ll visit health and care services, speak with patients, and report on what’s working and what could improve. - PLACE Volunteer:
In this role, you’ll visit local hospitals to assess things like cleanliness, food quality, and accessibility — giving a patient’s perspective.
- Young Healthwatch
Young Healthwatch is open to all young people aged 12–21 living or studying in East Sussex. Young Healthwatch looks at healthcare issues that directly affect young people, making sure the thoughts, ideas, and experiences of young people are listened to and involved in the decisions that affect them.
