East Sussex Outpatient Services (ESOPS) offers an NHS-covered alternative to going to the local hospital for a vast range of specialist diagnostic tests, procedures and consultations. With clinics in Eastbourne and Peacehaven, ESOPS can offer reduced waiting times for many procedures. Offering services in urology, gastroenterology, dermatology, ophthalmology, general and colorectal surgery, gynaecology and ENT, ESOPS is an independent provider to the NHS. Please ask your GP about being referred to ESOPS.

Delayed inguinal hernia op No wait time info

Advised op date Mar/Apr 2020. Rang ESOPS in early Sept for indication of likely delay-told nothing happening. Op planned for Shire Tun Wells on NHS. Rang them a month ago, put through to their NHS co-ordinator, left message. Zero response. Less concerned about defat in view of COVID than lack of response to question

Really worried about long wait times at DGH. Was given here as an alternative. Had consultation, scan and follow up appointment - even before the first date the DGH could give me!!

Much quicker than going to DGH, saw top Consultant, had treatment with him. Nice people here and really lovely to me when I was worried. Bit like going private!
