Tried to minimise issues

December 8, 2019
I have ehlers danlos syndrome which means I'm in a lot of pain which needs to be investigated however their aim is to try to ensure patients don't have MRI's telling them they are harmful. Only issue is I'm not stupid and an MRI has no radiation and checking why I'm in pain and what nerves are damaged is important rather than telling me to just do physio as this is long term so won't get better.

Impossible to get through as the phone message says call back later ALL THE TIME! I have phoned about 30 times for a follow-up appointment as instructed on various days and times. Pathetic.

treatment good

July 12, 2016
Physiotherapist very knowledgeable and thorough with trying to get to the origin of the problem. Treatment plan very clear. However the stet up is some what confusing. You get to the appropriate floor and have to try to find the reception for physiotherapy. which is located in the middle of a GP surgery. There is a sign but it is not quickly easy to identify. After registering at reception you then have to go to an other area two floors down for treatment. On arrival at the treatment area ( which is in another GP surgery) you have to locate the Virgin health sign and wait. The treatment are is not very conducive to assisting in the consultation process especially if you are deaf or partial hearing, as it is not easy to se the full face of the person conduction the consultation. The practitioner sits at a very small desk facing the wall and the patient sits on a chair facing out ward.. There is no room to turn the chair side ways so you can see the person talking to you. even without a hearing loss its is not particularly pleasant talking to the side of someone's head. I'm glad I did not have a problem with my neck. the care and treatment were very good . When the consultation finished , I then had to go back upstairs to make the next appointment. Over all the process of going up and down is now good when you are in pan, must be worse for those people with more reduced mobility than me or visual problems. It really would be difficult to see the signs.
