Trying to arrange online appointment

The website offers the option to book an appointment online
When you click on the link takes you to Patient Access website
When you have set up the app, it says your Doctors surgery does not support online appointment bookings

Excellent service

Phoned mid morning for an appointment, and was told that I needed to phone back. When I explained my symptoms to the receptionist, she said Doctor would phone me back that day. Had a phone call approx 2 hours later, when I described symptoms, a face to face appointment was arranged the next morning.
Saw doctor who said it was an infection and gave antibiotics. When issue not cleared up after 7 days, called again and a phone call was arranged. Doctor arranged for 2 course of antibiotics to be picked up at pharmacy.

I phoned and asked for an appointment, and was offered a phone call back to see if an appointment was needed. When it was decided I needed to see the nurse, I offered one the next day

Excellent Flu Vaccine Clinic

This was well organised and was in and out within 5 minutes

The appointment system makes no sense to me

You can only make an appointment to see a GP on the day at 8.30am over the phone (if you can get through) or walk down to the surgery. No guarantee you'll get an appointment. You can't pre-book an appointment with the GP a few days in advance. It's not too bad for nursing appointments though!

The appointment system is awful.

The flu jab services is great and the new digital options to get repeat prescriptions and request appointments are helpful. It's not easy to get to see my GP who works part-time but I have at times been able to book a phone appointment which helps.
