Appointment cancelled and rearranged

My dental appointment was confirmed by a phone call for Monday 3/4/23 on Saturday 1/4/23 with a minor time adjustment.
On Monday 3/4/23 my appointment was cancelled at 09:30 with just two hours to go , and rearranged for a date some 8 weeks later in May. The appointment was for a ‘Check-up’.
I had cancelled and rearranged a number of personal engagements/meetings in order to meet the dental appointment - if I had known of the need to cancel on the Saturday I could still have met them.
There were now apparently no earlier appointments other than the one at the end of May for a ‘check up’ - some 8 weeks away - and no other dentist within the practice able to respond.
Bouncing patients in this fashion for some 8 weeks , lets down what has up to now been a relatively good practice.
The ‘check up’ was particularly important as I had undergone Oral surgery at the RSCH in December 22.
