Diabetic Eye Screening Programme wins monthly award

The Diabetic Eye Screening Programme based at Bexhill Hospital is the latest winner of the Trust’s monthly staff award.

The team were nominated by General Manager Matt Hardwick for the progress they have made to meet nationally agreed standards over the past year.  The nomination read: “The service is now meeting 14 of the 19 standards, workforce metrics are excellent and staff engagement is proactive and inclusive.  The Friends of Bexhill Hospital and the Trust have invested in new equipment and space for the team and other regional and national programmes are now approaching our service for advice and support on how to run their programmes. This is a transformational change that we are very proud of.”

Interim Director of Finance David Meikle visited the team earlier this month to present staff with their award.
