Healthwatch East Sussex and the future of health and care services

On 18th September 2018, the Healthwatch East Sussex annual event will focus on latest developments in health and social care in East Sussex. Expert speakers will share their views and take questions before delegates are invited to help Healthwatch set its’ public engagement priorities for the year ahead.

Celebrating 5 years of Healthwatch East Sussex, the event will also launch our latest Annual Report, highlighting the depth of work undertaken to ensure that local people are heard and help shape health and social care services in East Sussex. Report highlights include:

    • 90 enter and view activities in local health settings
    • Programme of visits to residential care homes
    • Maternity and Accident and Emergency department visits during our Listening Tour in Hastings
    • East Sussex patient engagement on Patient Transport Services

Guest Speakers at the annual event are:

  • Tom Gurney Director of Communications and Engagement at Central Sussex and East Surrey Commissioning Alliance 
  • Paula Cohen Healthwatch East Sussex Volunteer 
  • Keith Hinkley Director of Adult Social Care, East Sussex County Council
