Improvements to waiting room in Urology Investigation Suite

July 29, 2015

The waiting room of the Urology Investigation Suite at Eastbourne DGH has had a makeover, with new flooring, refurbished blinds, freshly painted walls, new chairs and the installation of wall mounted fans and a water cooler.

The project was undertaken through East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s Listening into Action programme, where staff are encouraged to identify improvements that could be made for the benefit of patients and/or staff, and then given the support to take those ideas forward.

Susan Crosby-Jones, Matron of the Urology Investigation Suite, said: “Through our own initiative and with the backing of the Listening into Action programme, we have tried to improve the environment of the waiting room, providing a clean, bright and more welcoming area for our patients and their relatives.

“We’re very grateful for the support we’ve received to complete this project, the refurbished room looks lovely and our patients are giving very positive feedback about the improvements.”
