Work to improve Outpatients area at Eastbourne DGH underway

July 16, 2015

Building work to improve the waiting areas in Outpatients at Eastbourne DGH has begun this week.

The work includes a new roof and the installation of anti-glare windows and improved ventilation.  Extra seating will be created by removing the reception desks, a new booking in room will be created and there will be a new storage area for patient notes.

Work began in Outpatients Area B this week and is scheduled for two weeks, work will then move to Outpatients Area A and is scheduled to be completed by mid-August.

Nicola Booth, Matron in Outpatients, said: “As expected, the work is causing some disruption to the department but we have done all we can to minimise the impact.

“I’d like to thank all our patients for their understanding whilst the works are being done and hope that patients in the future will benefit from these improvements.”
