Taken my wife into A&E twice in 48 hours

The experience was good, I admire the patience and dedication of most staff, except reception people. Nurses and doctors are very good, working in difficult times.
A very skeleton service on offer for walk in

I was advised to go to A&E by NHS 111. When I arrived I was instructed by a poster to stand at the entrance and to wait for a nurse which took about 5 to 10 minutes. I then had my temperature checked and was told to sign in with the receptionist. I then waited to be triaged by a paramedic which took about 10 minutes. The paramedic went and gave me a antihistamine tablet to take straightaway as I was suffering from an allergic reaction to a flu jab that I had had earlier in the day. There were about 8 other people in A & E as it was difficult to maintain a social distance. I felt very uncomfortable. I was seen at about 4.30am after a three hour wait. I saw the doctor for 2 minutes and then sent home. I did wonder if I might have been and sent home without such a long wait. I didn’t have any choice about going and the experience wasn’t good.
