Severe toothache and swollen face

Excellent service from receptionist /nurse and the dentist they were all polite and very good at there respective jobs sorted my problem out

Pointless trying

I called at 6.30 for emergency out of hours treatment. Was told I was position 1 in the call queue. Waited for 15 minutes in position 1 before whoever is on reception disconnected my call. So not a single call answered within 15 minutes of opening... Hardly an emergency service is it.
I also called back to be put in queue position 7...where I also stayed for a further 25 minutes indicating still not a single call was actually taken by this service for the first half an hour it was open. I'll definitely be reporting this incident to the CQC. Pointless service, and i only gave 1 star because zero wasn't an option.

Can’t get through - caller number 17 - absess

April 30, 2022
NHS111 told me to get to the clinic asap as my whole face is inflated and eye almost shut- can’t get through. Going to try and just show up. Not much of an emergency clinic if it takes this long - abscess might burst before I can even speak to the reception.

Very poor communication

Was due to have my wisdom teeth removed. After all the x-rays had been completed, I was booked in at the Arthur Blackman clinic for the extraction. After booking two days off work, under the impression I was going to have 4 wisdom teeth pulled out, upon arrival, I was informed that the surgery was too complicated and that I would need to be referred to the hospital to have the surgery done under general anesthetic. (standard 18 week wait)
I am not leaving a bad review because of poor dental practice, I am sure he is a very good dentist and I am pleased he didn't try to preform a surgery which was too complicated for him (Hence two stars), rather the fact that two days of mine were wasted, costing me two days wages, when a phone call of less than 5 minutes would have sufficed.
They had my number and could quite easily of discussed it over the phone, instead they called me to confirm my attendance to the clinic and confirm that the surgery was all good to go ahead the DAY BEFORE I was booked in, only for them to cancel and be informed on the day it wasn't....
I was probably only in the room for less than 10 minutes. Although I am sure that they will charge the NHS some sort of consultation fee...

Fast, efficient and friendly

Attended the clinic due to my tooth cracking late at night.

The staff were friendly and I was seen very quickly.

The process to get an emergency appointment was easy as well.
