After recent tests I had first eye injection today. Over in minutes. Kindest experienced staff made a imaginary nightmare into almost run of the mill procedure. No pain no scary moments. Thank you so much.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such kind words about your recent, and very positive, experience of staff in the Ophthalmology Department at Bexhill Hospital. The Trust is committed to providing all patients with a high standard of care, underpinned by the values of kindness and compassion, and so we are delighted to read this was your experience following your first eye injection.

It is completely understandable that such a procedure would be a cause for worry and distress, and it is assuring for us to learn from you what a difference the kind and thoughtful attention of staff made.

We will ensure your lovely words are shared with staff Maureen, and send you our very best wishes.

I attended the Hospital on Friday 25th for a procedure involving an injection into my eyeball. This was overseen by staff 'one' who engaged me in a very kindly, pleasing manner and ushered me to a reclining chair and introduced me to staff 'two'. They then 'prep'ed' me. Their manner was thoroughly professional but retained a happy, amusing touch. It fell to staff two to actually insert the syringe and inject, which they did with a touch so light that I hardly noticed it occurring. I have had this procedure now on a number of occasions and the staff are always most professional, working in a very well run team, in a well organised department. Thank you all for your great efforts.

Great service and very helpful and friendly team in the Dermatology department where a tissue sample was taken for analysis. It was explained that the results would take up to 8 weeks and follow up appointment was made for 7 February. This appointment has been cancelled for no reason. WHY?
Without reason the hitherto urgency of treatment has left us frustrated and annoyed.

I had an appointment for a chest x ray

From the moment I entered the hospital the staff were polite and helpful and I was greeted with a smile.
The member of staff on reception at the X Ray department was very friendly and efficient.
I was not kept waiting (which I know can't be helped - so this was a bonus)
I was soon whisked through to have my X Ray where again, lovely staff who immediately put me at my ease.
Lovely little hospital, thank you!

Very prompt efficient Ophthalmoloy service

Really pleased that I transferred my regular consultant appointments from the DGH to Bexhill. It's more convenient, easier parking, and above all an extremely short waiting time for my appointments.. I also felt that I received a more personal service from the friendly staff and consultants. Administration of new appointments also excellent, receiving my next appointment within two days of last one!

Long waits for renal services

Renal Department
December 23, 2016
I live closer to Bexhill Hospital than any other renal patient but am always last in and last out of the renal unit due to the patient transport system. Patients living 16 miles away are at the unit an hour before treatment, therefore there is a bulid up of follow on patients, which leads to a backlog of people like myself waiting for treatment and then I'm late going home.
