Disgusting , rude and unhelpful behaviour

Taken a week of them holding my prescription form for a really important drug and numerous visits and phone calls for them to tell us they cannot order it and need to go elsewhere . For a village pharmacy the staff are rude and not at all compassionate and have not improved even under new management/ ownership … if they shut for the majority it would not be missed as we all use elsewhere for a better service

Absolutely Terrible

Having gone to the pharmacy directly from surgery, rather poorly with 2 prescriptions...I stood and waited and waited and waited some 10 minutes to even hand them over.NO it wasn't busy just 1 other person sat on a chair. It became apparent that the pharmacists were having a loud social chat in the dispensary and simply carried on for 10 mins. Eventually somebody emerged and took my prescriptions...then somebody came to me and simply said' this one yes, this one no'. That was it- he handed 1 prescription back with no further explanation and then walked straight past me to meet somebody he seemed to know who had just entered the pharmacy and clowned around there for a bit. The prescriptions were both for respiratory issues of some concern...and I find it impossible to believe that the staff member didn't even attempt to advise me whether any stock was expected or to try another pharmacy...just 'no'.... Still I waited.... He then returned to the rear dispensary where he loudly continued to lark about before a lady appeared with my prescription, made a flippant remark about my surname and handed me the prescription they did have...failing to charge me until I pointed out I needed to pay!? Used this pharmacy for many years, not often as thankfully generally in good health and have always received professional, really competent, polite service from staff who work in a very skilled and respected profession. I am ABSOLUTELY APPALLED by this experience. I never post reviews, don't have the inclination or time, but absolutely had to for this branch of Lloyd's. If the staff member who dealt with my prescriptions had been my gp my confidence in their professionalism would simply have resulted in me requesting another gp. Absolutely unacceptable service.

Long queues and prescriptions not ready.

Have given up after going down so many times and prescription not ready for collection, even going back when asked to come back, up to three times. Stock on shelves nowadays minimum if any, only to be told “it’s a pharmacy not a supermarket. Try Tesco“. It is a big shame, as it used to be a very good pharmacist/chemist and a very important part of the village.

Rarely answer the phone, often closed without warning due to staff shortages, fail to prepare monthly revolving prescription until requested in shop.

There is a regular issue with no pharmacist

There are regular occasions when there is no pharmacist on site and therefore you are unable to pick up any medication. Today they had also closed the shop completely so could not even buy a plaster or paracetamol

Counter staff brilliant.BUT

Called yesterday at 3.45 25/11 to collect repeat ‘script. Sign on door “closed at 3pm! Walked there this morning at 11.30.Still closed.Sign on door “HO unable to recruit a pharmacist .Hope to open this afternoon”
This is such a shame as I have always found the staff unfailingly cheerful and helpful.I hope they don’t get any unfair criticism about the opening hours problems as this is a Lloyds HO issue.

Service was appalling slow.

I ordered my repeat prescription over a week ago. I rang the pharmacy yesterday afternoon as was told it would be ready this morning. When I went to collect it, I was the first customer in the shop, I was kept waiting 15 minutes. I nearly had to leave without it as I had a doctor’s appointment and didn’t want to be late.

Will Lloyds Pharmacy join the 21st century?

Lloyds Pharmacy has never been a great store but I had hopes this would change when the store was refitted a while ago. I remain disappointed. It takes 72 HOURS (count them) for an electronic prescription to be processed. This is the same amount of time as a traditional paper prescription which is crazy when you consider that the store is just across the street from the medical centre. How daft is that? But this is England and the English are not very good at IT and even worse at planning, so I'm not suprised but as I said, rather disappointed.
