No treatment just telephone calls

Imaging
March 9, 2023
Unpassable kidney stone giving daily pain and passing blood every day for months. Arrived for bladder scan. Not done as CT scan and shock wave stone removal was booked for two days later. Arrived two days later. No CT only X-ray. Stone not seen due to poo in the way so sent home to wait for six weeks for a telephone consultation yet again. I'm in daily pain. It's severely affecting my work and I'm going into depression and very poor mental health. Left in limbo by urology department. I spoke to admissions today to be told I'm not on any waiting list for treatment and will have to wait for telephone call next month to discuss.

Mixed Experiences - information not passed on

Neurology
February 6, 2017
My husband collapsed with excruciating head pain, As there is a family history for cerebral aneurysm we called an ambulance. The 999 operator, ambulance crew and the A&E at the Princess Royal were all brilliant. However, each person we dealt with took notes and medical history - but never seemed to pass this on as each new person we encountered didn't know about my husbands past brain injury or about his family history, which led to delays and confusion. After discharge from the PRH he was called back a week later to discuss his MRI scan result. Turns out that no one had passed on the past medical history etc, so this was an unnecessary appointment.

Care and Support was wonderful

End of life care
February 6, 2017
My husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer and was told by the Urology Team at the Princess Royal Hospital he only had weeks to live. He opted to be nursed at home and the following day was visited by the hospice coordinator, Head of District Nurses and his GP. The care and support we received from everyone was wonderful, including the night nurses. The kindness and support shown to all the family was outstanding and we were contacted after he had passed.

Pre natal appointment

Maternity
August 23, 2016
Went for a prenatal appointment at Princess Royal, Haywards Heath. Dr Wong did not turn up, another was called in. He was showing off in front nurses. He told me if i'm young enough to get pregnant I am young enough to push!! I told him I had a previous labour for 13 hours and he said even without reading my notes he doubts I was in labour! If I hadn't thought he was going to do a sweep on me I would have told him not to talk to patients like that.

Spares for prosthetic limb

Prostethic Limb
August 17, 2016
I wear an artificial leg which misbehaved from 17th June. I visited rehab centre in Brighton on 20th June and was told they did not have any spare parts. I could not walk from 17/6 until I was called back to Brighton on 18th July as spare part had been received. The wait was exactly 4 weeks. I think spares should be kept in stock. Aside from this Sussex Rehab always treated me well.
