Relaxed approach from contact.

Had to call over the weekend

February 5, 2018
I spoke to someone who was helpful and informative. The primary care advisor was also very polite and helpful.

Appallingly inadequate

October 15, 2017
Took 11 hours to respond to request for urgent medication, resulting in unnecessary trip to A & E for this to be dealt with. If you think there is adequate out of hours medical care available now you are sadly mistaken.

Great advice and helpful

September 25, 2017
Contacted 111 after falling down the stairs. The call handler dealt with my query in a very efficient way.

Unfortunately a clinical advisor wasn't available when I was on the phone, however, I received a call back less than 5 minutes after hanging up.

Excellent throughout. Avoided a trip to A & E.

111 staff phoned back when they said they would, the final person I spoke to (Dr.) prescribed antibiotics for my elderly Mum and faxed the prescription to a local surgery. Really efficient service.

It would be useful to be able to skype/send photos as I had to describe the presenting complaint (infected burn on hand) repeatedly - maybe this is something the 111 service could look to develop using social media apps (secure ones).

Was given an appointment quickly

March 15, 2017
My baby needed medical help but due to being a Sunday, the GP surgery was closed.

111 dealt with my call efficiently and arranged for the out of hours gp to contact me within 2 hours.

Great service

October 13, 2016
I rang 111 as I my baby had an extremely high temperature and my GP surgery had no appointments.

The call handler was helpful and polite. After a few questions, I was referred back to my GP surgery and had an appointment within 20 minutes.

Thank you!

Severly Lacking

October 7, 2016
My Father was extremely ill and was unable to breathe properly. We rang the service at 5.30pm and a doctor had still not visited by 11pm. My Father was admitted to hospital by his own GP the following day!

No call back

August 17, 2016
NHS1 111 OOH - Approx midday/pm - did not call back until 11am the next day (was a call at 03:00 - only rang 3 times). Husband in lots of pain - by time eventually spoke, prescribed Morphine by GP on Monday. No dr's signed up to the service.

Unhappy

August 4, 2016
Unhappy about the 111 service. A list of tick questions that don't establish exactly what is needed. Could have died. Should have been advised to call an ambulance. Don't speak to anyone with medical knowledge.
