Pre Covid I could always walk to the surgery

July 28, 2020
Pre Covid I could always walk to the surgery and make an appointment if i failed to get through on phone. Now all appointments are via the phone. It took 3 days last week for me to get through. At Last on fri 24th July at 9.20 i was able to speak to a receptionist. All she could offer me was a telephone consult with Joe (Paramedic) late afternoon.. I was phoned at about 4.00 I have a urine tract infection prescribed antibiotics. I think the surgery/system is just overwhelmed by the amount of persons, needing to see a doctor or other health professional.

Practice to large for area covered

July 28, 2020
This is now the only practice in the area and last time I tried to get an appointment was told there are only six doctors. It has been know to have to make over 100 calls to try and make an appointment which is impossible. The practice use to be really good but not now. I would register somewhere else but nothing else in the area.

Always something going wrong,terrible service

July 28, 2020
Can never get through on the phone and when you persevere for over an hour you are eventually told they don't have appointments and to call back the next day. You end up in a spiral of desperation. My husband has been denied medical treatment that he needs every 8 weeks because they don't have appointments. I have not attended the doctors for myself because I was told there was no appointments and gave up. I can imagine a lot of medical conditions are being missed.

Phone answered quickly

July 27, 2020
I phoned at approx 14:45 on Wed 22 July, to get an appointment for my Husband and got through first time after a couple of minutes, (don't appreciate having to listen to long speech about merger from one of the Doctors)
Was told someone would phone him back before 18:00, they did phone about 18:30 and ran through issue.
So far very pleased with the service

No follow up on serious medical issues.

July 27, 2020
They don't chase things up or follow through any long term medical issues. My partner has had no proper help since moving to this surgery a year ago. its disgraceful. The Drs are great when you get an appointment but the surgery as a whole seems way overstretched and the fact Peacehaven is getting much bigger is a massive concern as the surgery is not coping already.

When I moved here 10 years ago there was never a problem , could phone and see a doctor the same day , Now I can never get through on phone , can’t book appointment until a week later , receptionist sometimes not very helpful, service on the whole has become worse and worse.

terrible

July 26, 2020
I have tried for over 3 weeks to to get to see a doctor, I call around 50 times before getting through only to be told that unless it’s an emergency I cannot be seen so to try on the afternoon slot.
You can’t pre book appointments either.
My doctor has called me and left a message to rebook with her and I can’t .

Trying for days to get an appointment

July 25, 2020
Having moved there because my doctors in peacehaven closed I found it difficult to understand their appointment system. You have to ring in the morning. Try about 50 times to get through to then be told all the appointments had gone. They then say ring in the afternoon. The same thing happens. If you aren’t ahead of the queue you don’t get seen. It’s come first served. A had a blood test done a while back was told they wanted to do another in 4 weeks. Went to book an appointment to be told they don’t book more that 4 weeks in advance. That I would need to ring nearer the time to get an appointment then. Then again having problems getting through to the surgery in the phone. Peacehaven has grown but there are now less doctors. The service is appalling.
