Understaffed, under funded, too many expectations

There used to be 4 surgeries in Peacehaven. Now this is the only one remaining. Meanwhile more houses are being built. This remaining surgery simply cannot cope.
It is not acceptable to have to try over 100 times to get through to then be told there are no appointments. The situation needs urgent attention. It is unfair on both the patients and members if staff to have these expectations that simply cannot be achieved.
I have a chronic long-term medical condition so need a reliable and surgery that is able to function to it's full potential. The staff are trying their best

Where do I start. Rude receptionist, no appointments available, wrong treatment given,arrogant doctors,

I had been suffering for 18 months and had visited Meridian surgery twice but only given ear drops which had no effect. I couldn't get through on phone and was getting worse with unbearable tinnitus. I literally had to have a meltdown at the window box to get seen. The receptionist at the window wall was very rude and I almost missed my op because she wouldn't let me in without a face mask. This was 2 weeks before they became mandatory and no signs up to say you must wear one. A woman behind me in queue gave me one of hers. The receptionist had refused to give me one even though it was an emergency!

Has taken days to get through but once through the service and treatment is excellent

You have to continually call the number. This can be x30/40/50 times. If you do get through, the receptionists are great. I've never had a problem. But getting to see or speak to a doctor/nurse has become increasingly difficult.

Cannot get a repeat prescription as medication review is due, but can't get through to get an appointment either. No blood pressure medication for a month now.

I have on several times tried to contact the surgery to make an appoint but it can take well over 200 tries or several days only to be told they have no appointments left. The staff who answer the phone are incredibly rude and they dont give their name either. This has been going on for years since they shut the other two surgeries and is now worse since they joined with rowe Avenue. Some doctors also have a “well I cant help” attitude too because some health issues are too complex and will take extra time to resolve.

I have been trying for 2 weeks now to get an appointment i start ringing first thing and I get no answer when I do get an answer i am told by a rude receptionist all appointments are booked and to call back after 2pm call back later and I have the same problem cant get through. Cant go and wait outside like I used to as you are turned away and told to ring the surgery. Its not good when you need to see someone.
Impossible to get through or get appointment.

Takes continuous redials to talk to a receptionist just to be told there are no appointment or it’s only for emergencies. My issue I felt needed to be see by a doctor but the receptionists decided it wasn’t. I ended up going to A&E and having my issue sorted. I was very unwell after two weeks of trying to get past the receptionist. Also prescription ordering. I phone to have a phone consultation about medication but can’t get through or again no appointments. I ran out of critical medication even though I ordered in plenty of time.
