You Simply cannot get an appointment

August 1, 2020
They used to run an on line appointments and prescription service this has not worked properly for years. Currently you have to ring to try and get an appointment. I have tried for days to get through and if you do get through no appointments and you have to call back again later in the day and wait another hour I work and cannot just sit on the phone for an hour waiting to get though whilst at work.

Can not get through to get an appointment,

When you try and ring to get an appointment it is impossible to get through, if you are lucky to get through 9/10 they have no appointments left, also some of the receptionist are so rude

Doing a good job in the face of huge pressure

July 31, 2020
The surgery has to cope with a massive, ever expanding number of people and tbh I’m amazed they achieve anything. ESSC keeps approving development in Peacehaven without any new amenities and it’s only thanks to the hard work of the staff, who operate in the face of some hugely unthinking residents that anyone gets anything done. The receptionists can be terse and very forgetful (losing vital samples which meant I was denied treatment for a bacterial infection for two additional weeks) but when you see what they have to cope with I guess it’s hardly surprising, all the doctors and nurses I’ve seen have been lovely but they shouldn’t be expected to work under this pressure

Underfunded and overwhelmed

To make an app you have to constantly call in the morning. When you finally get through you are told there are no appointments left and to try in the afternoon. In the afternoon it is the same story. When my mum couldn’t get an appointment over the phone they advised her to queue outside in the morning from 8am, she did this, to be still told there were no appointments. My mum phoned me in tears! Receptionists are rude and abrupt and never tell you their name or wear a badge. They simply cannot cope with the demand.

Excellent staff once you get to see one

It is impossible to get through on the phones to this practice - online service was excellent but sometimes you need to see someone face to face

Not enough phone lines, not enough GPs

Can never get an appointment.

Phone constantly on redial when you finally get through no appointments available and told to ring back in the afternoon just to go through the exactly the same. Will not let you make an appointment in advance. This is the only surgery in the area now and it is severely over subscribed. Need more GP practices in the area as more and more houses are being built, people in the area are not getting the care we pay for.

Can’t get an appointment

The service has become so hard to access for anyone who does not have social media - internet or a mobile phone. Oaps are being excluded as are people who have disabilities - letters to New practice Manager are being ignored.

Poor

July 31, 2020
Although I was able to make an appointment via the phone very easily, the phone call from the Doctor after having tests was worse than useless, he was very abrupt to the point of being rude, he offered no advise on how to prevent the issue happening again, or to phone for help/advice if it did

Awful

You can never get through on the phone or get an appointment since the new houses were built. You never see the same doctor twice...so there is no continuity..
I had an xray a couple of years ago which I have never seen or discussed with any doctor...
