Visited Eastbourne DGH for a nuclear scan. Was advised to drink plenty of fluids, yet sent away for 4 hours and no water was supplied - also no changing room to change, charged £8.40 to park, appointment ran late

Arrived with very short notice. Student midwife assisted in vehicle outside, she was fantastic. Had baby very quickly, very well supported. Very impressed with everybody.
Rude, incompetent staff, no time for people!
Accident and emergency services

I visit EDGH on a regular basis due to my profession. I work with adults with dementia. All the staff treat my residents with little compassion, they are rude, with no manners, and have no pacience. I visited recently with someone who possibly had a stroke. They were so incompetent it was unreal. Wouldn't listen to her, were using force, everything you wouldn't want as a patient. As a lady who suffered with dementia, they couldn't of cared less for her. There were lots of empty beds. Lots of staff stood around chatting. Every time I asked what was going on, they said they needed more tests... More tests?! Where were the first original tests? It was an appalling experience and it doesn't bare thinking about if there really was a big bad emergency.

I was sent to Eastbourne because I was losing weight. Had tests + scans. Nothing found so sent to Haernatologist and is checked now and again - diagnosed with Sjögren's syndrome. It turned out very well and I was treated well. They did everything they could. I am helping with research on Sjögren's syndrome .
